| Bio: | Despite my user name, I'm not a fan of TJ Hooker. In fact, I don't believe I've even seen an episode of TJ Hooker. So don't be offended by me starting off that way if you're a fan; I'm just trying to avoid having people ask me if I saw the episode where Sgt Hooker was going to shoot that guy and steal his wallet, but then he remembered he was a cop and so he instead elected to shoot him and hand his wallet over to evidence as per standard tv-cop protocol. For all I know it could be the best series ever made. Except having Shatner in it makes me a little dubious of that--but, I digress. I suppose the topic here is supposed to be "Who am I?" That is an excellent question. In fact, that is such a very good question that many, many reasonably well educated psychiatrists are available to take your money in order to answer it. They will do this very slowly. Unless, of course, you are paying them a one time fee. In that case, they will answer very quickly. This is called cost-benefit analysis and it is the cornerstone of most any free market--but, I digress. It seems to me that anyone who has a truly good understanding of who they are has a good leg up on the rest of us. If I was a more eloquent writer, I might have some pretty words to say on the subject. As I am not, I strongly recommend picking up a copy of Planescape: Torment for Windows based systems and wade through the early boring parts to get to the end, which has some much prettier words regarding the topic of self-empowerment through realization of identity than I could possibly put out. I'd try and find a transcript, but I wouldn't want to spoil the game. | |||||||
